“Michal is an amazing acupuncturist! I came into the clinic with the worst shoulder pain I’ve ever experienced. My chiropractor told me that I had a torn deltoid ligament and he used all kinds of equipment on me in an attempt to get it to heal faster. After 2 months there was only slight improvement so he recommended that I try physical therapy. Well, 3 weeks into physical therapy and I was feeling even worse than before my treatments with the chiropractor. It wasn’t until I came in to see Michal that I finally felt some relief. A friend recommended that I try acupuncture and referred her to me. By that time I was completely discouraged and had no expectation that my arm was going to feel any better but I was in so much pain that I was willing to try anything. After the first treatment I was able to rotate my arm again and the pain was not nearly as bad! Now, I finally have no pain in my shoulder and she has begun working on my arthritic knees. Those needles are magic and I barely even felt them go in! I wish I had known about acupuncture sooner…I could have spared myself a lot of pain.”

“I have been a smoker off and on for the past 12 years. There were many unsuccessful attempts to quit, but it never lasted. My addiction was so strong that even after a close childhood friend passed away from lung cancer, I still continued to smoke. My hacking cough became a daily routine and fellow co-workers took notice. It was embarrassing for me to take a cigarette break after just having finished coughing up a lung. After much pleading from family, friends, and co-workers I decided it was time to quit. Acupuncture gave me the first glimmer of hope that being smoke free was possible. Beyond curving my cravings to smoke, it helped me to examine the mechanical nature of my addiction. Throughout the course of treatment my inner resolve grew and I began to take control of my desires. The doctor prescribed antibiotics but they did not resolve the ucler. The pain was tremendous at times and I was taking a combination of Tylenol, TUMS, and Maalox for some relief.
